Xavier Lázaro will be present at the FIA Motorsport Games, an event that this year takes place from October 23 to 27 in Valencia (Spain). The 10-year-old will represent Portuguese karting and the Portuguese Federation of Automobilism and Karting (FPAK) in the Karting Sprint Mini category. In addition to Lázaro, there will be two other drivers representing Portugal and FPAK in karting: Martim Marques, who at 12 years old will race in Sprint Junior, and Miguel Silva, who at 19 years old will compete in Sprint Senior.
All three Portuguese drivers have already been Champions in our country: Xavier Lázaro won the Initiation category in 2020. In 2023, he won the Italian Karting Cup and currently competes in that country, where last weekend he stepped onto the podium in the final stage of the WSK Open Series (La Conca), securing third place overall in the competition. Martim Marques has been a National Champion multiple times and in 2022 won the Rotax World Finals in the Micro Max category. As for Miguel Silva, he was National Champion in 2020 in the X30 category.
"I want to thank the Portuguese Federation of Automobilism and Karting for the opportunity", Xavier Lázaro said. "It is a great source of pride for me to represent Portugal in this major event".
