The competitive season of the Portuguese Karting Championship KIA comes to a close this weekend at the International Karting Circuit of Viana do Castelo, and Xavier Lázaro is ready for the event and to celebrate in the Minho region the title in the Initiation category, officially designated as the Figueiredo e Silva Trophy.
In mathematical terms, the young driver from Várzea de Sintra has already secured the points that allow him to celebrate victory in the competition. However, it is imperative to be present for the final stage of the championship, as the regulations require it. In this sense, Xavier Lázaro, along with his entire family who will accompany him for the Minho season finale, have already completed Covid-19 tests, which yielded negative results. It is worth noting that, although the driver is under the structure of the Cabo Junior Team, the backbone of his technical and competitive preparation is in the hands of his family, particularly his mother, Stela Lázaro, who is the manager of the Birel ART he is competing with this year.
"We are much more at ease now that we know the results of the Covid-19 tests and can travel to the event without worry", Vasco Lázaro, the pilot's father, stated. "It's important to complete this stage, and we're determined to give 'Xavi' every opportunity to enjoy the moment and have fun on the track this weekend".
