Ayrton Senna Karting Trophy
In December, as if in the form of an early Christmas present, I also raced the Trofeo Karting Ayrton Senna, an event with great tradition in Italy, which takes place at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli in Sarno. The aim was again to gain experience, which happened as the difficult weather conditions of the race allowed me to drive on the track under heavy rain.
My First Challenge on the International Scene
For my commitment in the first season of X30 Mini, I was rewarded with attending my first international event. In Adria, I participated in the WSK Final Cup. I was the smallest of all 127 entries in the Mini class. My presence was entirely focused on gaining experience and learning, for a possible future more frequent participation in international events. In my first international competition, I debuted behind the wheel of a DR.
Overcoming Difficulties is Part of Growing
In my last race of the season in Portugal, I started by not being happy, losing my best engine in free practice. Having to resort to the second option in competitive terms, I knew how to work with the team to give the best of myself and managed to get the most out of a set with some limitations. The end result ends up not reflecting my good performance. I feel myself improving every time I go out on the track.
Always Growing
Reflecting a successful learning season, I had my best performance in the final round of the Portuguese KIA Karting Championship. The work in the entire environment that surrounded me was well done allowing me to intelligently absorb all the information, to materialize my growing competitiveness in the X30 Mini class on the Braga track. At eight years old, I feel increasingly competitive in the X30 Mini kart.
Ever Stronger
Another weekend in the first season of the X30 Mini class in the KIA Karting Portuguese Championship. The Bombarral race was useful to consolidate my growing maturity. As a young driver I keep showing enormous progress. Am stronger and more confident, with an increasingly consistent pace, competing for positions with more experienced opponents. I am absorbing the entire source of learning.
Learning Continues at a Good Pace
In the Baltar round I had ups and downs in my performance. On Sunday I wasn't able to maintain my times around the previous day and in the Final, after an excellent start, in which I gained six positions, I ended up losing my way. I was too aggressive and this is another lesson that I add to my journey this year, totally focused on learning and evolving in a new class. Am increasingly motivated towards the future.
Difficult Round at Leiria
The second round of the championship didn't go very well on my side. The track conditions were difficult and I ended up making some mistakes, as I realized that the competition was evolving and I was trying to minimize the differences. Some technical problems further complicated my task. It wasn't all bad, I learned more about how competitive I am, fighting against adversity and evolving as a driver.
The First Competition of a New Chapter
The Viana do Castelo event was the first of the championship, in which I am in a new class, X30 Mini. It was all about learning to drive on a track that I already know, with a new kart in a class in which I am the youngest and smallest, among many talented drivers. I made progress over the weekend, during which I was able to try out various track conditions, including wet conditions, as it also rained.
