Xavier Lázaro Moves Up To OK-N-Junior Aiming For The World Title

Xavier Lázaro will move up to OK-N-Junior to compete in the FIA Karting World Cup for the category, which will take place in Italy at the Cremona Circuit from September 25 to 28. The Portuguese driver’s goal for this year is to secure the category’s most important title.

Right after the final round of the WSK Super Master Series this past weekend in Viterbo, where he bid farewell to the Mini Gr. 3 with the runner-up title, the young Portuguese driver stayed on track for two days of testing, already behind the wheel of the official DR OK-N-Junior. The results were encouraging, as Xavier Lázaro proved to be within the benchmark times set by the fastest drivers in the category at Viterbo.

In OK-N-Junior, Xavier Lázaro will have his main goal set on competing in the FIA Karting World Cup, which will take place from September 25 to 28 at the Cremona Circuit. For this event, he has an ambitious target—aiming for victory.

For this project, the 11-year-old driver will be part of DR’s official structure, with Modena Engines as his engine supplier. On the track, Xavier Lázaro will serve as a representative of this engine brand, which will compete in the FIA Karting World Cup in Cremona against well-established names such as Iame and TM.

In terms of his race calendar for the rest of the season, besides the FIA Karting World Cup, Xavier Lázaro maintains the goals he had originally set when planning for 2025 in Mini Gr. 3. In OK-N-Junior, he will compete in the ACI Sport Italian Karting Championship, the WSK Euro Series, and the WSK Final Cup.
