Xavier L\u00e1zaro was the winner of the Initiation category yesterday at the Braga International Karting Circuit, in what was the penultimate round of the KIA Portugal Karting Championship. Driving the Birel ART with a Honda engine, the young driver from V\u00e1rzea de Sintra had already shown his strength in the category yesterday, securing pole position and triumphing in both qualifying heats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, with the Pre-Final and Final races, Xavier L\u00e1zaro once again showed himself to be very focused on achieving a perfect score, something he began to accomplish by winning the Pre-Final. In the afternoon, in the Final, starting from the first position, the seven-year-old maintained the lead into the first corner, despite pressure from Francisco Correia. From there, he was not troubled in the fight for first place, managing to open a solid lead over the competition. L\u00e1zaro won with a 2.174-second lead over the second-placed Francisco Correia. With this result, Xavier L\u00e1zaro is decisively on the path to the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
