Xavier L\u00e1zaro participated this weekend in the 4th stage of the Campeonato de Portugal de Karting Toyota, held in the northern part of Portugal at the winding but challenging Baltar Kart\u00f3dromo. The Sintra-born driver did not have his best performance of the season, but nonetheless, he remained consistent and, above all, focused on accumulating kilometers behind the wheel of the X30 Mini DR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the event organized by the N\u00facleo de Desportos Motorizados de Leiria (NDML), the eight-year-old struggled to establish himself among the fastest, grappling with some equipment performance issues, a factor that likely affected his recognized fighting spirit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the timed practice sessions, L\u00e1zaro could only manage the ninth-best time, one position below where he had placed in both official free practice sessions. On Saturday, the DR driver made efforts to improve his performance, managing to climb one position in the 1st Qualifying Heat to finish eighth. In Race 1 that concluded Saturday, he occasionally showcased his competitiveness, finishing in sixth place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, it was neither better nor worse!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By being the sixth fastest in the official Sunday free practice sessions, Xavier Lazaro gave the impression that he would be stronger than the day before. However, he only managed the eighth time in the Qualifying session. With one of his best performances of the weekend in the 2nd Qualifying Heat, Xavier L\u00e1zaro finished in sixth place, dropping one position at the end of Race 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"I can't quite say what justifies Xavier's results here in Baltar\"<\/strong>,the father, Vasco L\u00e1zaro, stated. \"I believe that throughout the weekend, his technical team never quite managed to overcome some competitiveness issues with the equipment, particularly the engine. At the same time, Xavier also didn't reach the same level of competitiveness he showed in previous stages\"<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding potential aspirations for a prominent position in this X30 Mini season in Portugal, Vasco L\u00e1zaro was straightforward, saying that \"This season is set for us. Xavier is still very young, so we continue to focus on preparing him as best as possible for the future. At the same time, I believe that with the intense schedule awaiting him in the coming weeks at the international level, the mindset will certainly change quickly, and we will arrive at the next stage of the Campeonato de Portugal de Karting much better prepared\"<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
