Following a path of steady progression through international karting, Xavier Lázaro begins a new chapter in his career by joining Parolin Motorsport, the official racing division of Italian manufacturer Parolin and one of the most prestigious and competitive teams in world karting.
The move marks another important step in the career of the 12-year-old Portuguese driver, who will contest the remaining rounds of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship and the Champions Of The Future series, as well as the FIA Karting World Championship and the WSK Final Cup with his new team.
Over the past few years, Xavier has established himself as one of Portugal's brightest karting talents. Born in Várzea de Sintra, he became the only Portuguese driver in history to win a Gold Medal at the FIA Motorsport Games, while also claiming race victories and podium finishes in WSK competition during his Mini Gr.3 campaign. His progression continued in the OK-N Junior category, where he consistently reached the finals and confirmed his potential against some of the strongest young drivers in international karting.

Stepping up to the highly demanding OKJ category brought a different kind of challenge. In one of the most competitive classes in international karting, where performance margins are often measured in thousandths of a second, Xavier was unable to translate his potential into the results that had characterised his previous seasons.
Despite the challenges faced during the first half of the campaign, the work carried out throughout the season has allowed the young Portuguese driver to continue developing and has prepared him for what is now one of the most important moments of his career.
Joining Parolin Motorsport is a move driven by one clear objective: to place Xavier within a team that consistently fights at the front of the world's leading karting championships and to provide him with the ideal environment to demonstrate his full potential.
Parolin Motorsport currently fields one of the strongest line-ups in the OKJ category, with teammates including Giole Girardello, Alexander Lazarus, Giacomo Giusto, Oskari Walle, Juan Garciarce, Elton Hedfors, Albert Tamm and Mattis Brageot, all regarded among the most promising young talents in world karting.
Another important aspect of this new chapter will be the presence of Frederico Duarte as Xavier Lázaro's mechanic. The former Portuguese kart racer has been part of Parolin Motorsport's official structure for several years and possesses extensive knowledge of both the team and its technical operation, providing Xavier with valuable support as he adapts to his new environment.

Joining Parolin Motorsport represents far more than simply changing colours. It is an opportunity to become part of a winning project, surrounded by some of the best professionals in international karting and immersed in an environment where excellence and high standards are part of everyday life.
With half of the season still ahead, the objective is now to transform the potential shown over recent years into consistent results at the highest level of international competition. The immediate focus will be on the upcoming rounds of the Champions Of The Future and the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship, followed by the FIA Karting World Championship and the WSK Final Cup, where Xavier Lázaro will aim to begin a new chapter in his young career aboard an official Parolin kart.
"I am really excited about this new challenge. I would like to thank DR for everything we experienced together and for giving me the opportunity to grow as a driver. I now begin a new chapter with Parolin Motorsport, a team with great ambitions, and I will give everything I have to make the most of this opportunity and fight again for the front positions", Xavier Lázaro said.
